In a fast-changing and challenging healthcare environment, it takes effective leadership to perform successfully and inspire your staff to reach their full potential. On the MSc Healthcare Leadership programme, you will acquire advanced knowledge of health organisations and the changing context in which they operate, together with the leadership, communication, motivation and guidance skills that drive your strategic decisions and improved healthcare standards.

You will develop your understanding and skillset required to establish robust and effective management principles, theories, models and concepts applicable to any health environment, from primary healthcare to private practices, hospitals and other clinical organisations.

Core modules of studies cover areas in ethics, social care, data science and information processing, with topics spanning from effective leadership and healthcare innovations to financial management, research methods, and strategic management and implementation. Further to developing skills specific to healthcare and governance, you will also gain professional skills such as teamwork, critical thinking and research that will strengthen your CV.

Towards the end of the programme, you will undertake a project of your choice to evaluate the impact of a particular aspect of organisational change, and how that contributes to improvements within healthcare services.
