The University of Bedfordshire was established in August 2006 by order of the Privy Council, following the merger between the University of Luton and De Montfort University's Bedford campus. It is a modern, innovative university with a heritage of top quality education going back more than 100 years.
With four campuses and overseas education partners, they welcome students of all ages and backgrounds and have more than 24,000 students from 120 countries.
The Times Higher Education (THE) World University rankings 2016-2017, the internationally renowned league table, has placed Bedfordshire in the 601 to 800 category of best universities in the world as well as ranking the University as 64 out of 130 universities in the United Kingdom. Bedfordshire has also been revealed by the Degree of Value survey carried out by Go Compare in summer of 2016 as one of the most cost effective universities to study at in the country.
