Testimonials
“I wish to say thank you to you here again for your repeated assistance and say that I 've just got an email from the CAIAA about my passing of the Level II exam as well. I appreciate again for your great help since my enrollment into the intensive course for Level I and your precise explanation to all of my queries till the finishing of the Level II exam! Thanks for your feedback and thanks again for your patience and teaching! You are the best lecturer that I have met after my undergrad.” - Tony Wong, who took Level I and II course with Kaplan Financial
“I am glad to share my happiness of passing the exam with you and your colleagues. The course materials are well-organized and manage to pinpoint the key learning areas essential for the exam. The trainer provided a lot of practice questions which gave us reasonable expectations on the level of difficulty and depth of exam questions. This CAIA Level I course preserves its high quality as the CFA Level II and Level III course I enrolled a few years ago! To be honest, this CAIA Level 1 course is the fourth course I attended in Kaplan. Your excellent quality of teaching is of the greatest attraction. Anyway, thanks again for offering such a high quality of teaching!” - To Wai Chun, who studied CAIA with Kaplan Financial after completion of our CFA course

About CAIA® Designation
The CAIA® program consists of two levels, which cover basic and advanced concepts in the following topic areas:
Both the Level I and Level II exams are given twice a year in September and March. Exams are self-scheduled during a 2-week exam window. Because the structure of the exam is subject to change on a potentially semiannual basis, we urge you to visit www.caia.org to download the latest study guides and additional information regarding the specifics of the CAIA® program.
Level I Topics
The Level I CAIA® exam is divided into 2 sections. Candidates are given 4 hours to complete the 200 multiple-choice questions with an optional 30-minute break between each section. Sections 1 and 2 each consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, which measure candidates' knowledge of the CAIA® Level I curriculum.
With the Level I topics, you will learn the tools to analyze alternative investments. The Level I curriculum includes: quantitative methods; professional standards; performance evaluation of actively managed portfolios; risk and return characteristics of real assets, private equity, hedge funds, and structured products; due diligence; risk management; and portfolio management.
Level II Topics
The Level II exam is composed of 100 multiple-choice questions and three sets of constructed-response (essay-type) questions, which measure candidates' knowledge of the CAIA® Level II curriculum. Candidates are given 2 hours to complete the multiple-choice question section and 2 hours to complete the constructed-response section.
With the Level II topics, you will learn how to apply the tools learned in Level I to analyze and invest in alternative investments. The Level II curriculum includes: ethics, current academic and industry research, asset allocation, private equity, real assets, commodities, hedge funds, managed futures, and structured products.
